PRODUCTION RESOURCES

File preparation guide

Metal print files

  • TIFF, JPEG or PNG; retain the original full-resolution file.
  • Adobe RGB or sRGB profiles are accepted. Embed the profile whenever possible.
  • 200 PPI or higher at final cropped size is preferred. Files between 100–199 PPI require review; below 100 PPI requires explicit approval.
  • Do not add bleed unless the production team requests it for a custom shape.

Photo book PDFs

  • Upload one complete, print-ready PDF in final page order.
  • Use the exact page or spread ratio selected in the order portal.
  • Embed fonts and images; flatten unsupported transparency before export.
  • Keep important text and faces away from trim edges and the centre fold.

Individual photo book images

JPEG, PNG and TIFF files can be placed page by page. Every image frame preserves an internal crop position, zoom and rotation. Review every spread at 100% before submitting.

Colour and proofing

Calibrate your display where possible and avoid judging print brightness from a screen in a dark room. Surface choice matters: glossy materials show greater contrast and reflection; matte materials reduce glare. Contact us when neutral colour, skin tone or shadow separation is critical.
